I was very disappointed with the kids race that was put on over the weekend. I realize that it is done for fun and it gives our children a way into the sport but I am very upset that the only "trophy" that they gave away was a jersey that my daughter couldn't even wear because it's too big. I know that it's not always about winning the trophy and they won't always win a trophy but when our little ones, some who were as young as 4 years old, wait all day to race and do their best only to be awarded with a jersey that no doubt a local motorcycle shop gave to your group, it was a very sad day to see our motokids treated like that. I won't be back to any of your races and after talking to some of the other parents after the race, i'm sure they won't either.

I'm sorry you're disappointed.  We thought maybe we could give out a reward that they could actually use, instead of a little trophy to sit on their shelves.

We were trying something different.

:? I thought the kidsmoto was for fun. You as parent have taken that way by not letting your child race in a kidsmoto. Dont let your dispointment ruin something your child enjoys. Racing is for fun and enjoyment, it doesnt always have to be about what you win or didnt win. It is about teaching our children about the value of goodsportship, and you have not shown that as a parent. You complain about the jersy but your daughter  might have been happy that she got it and you took that way for her. We have children too and if you take away the one thing that they have earned they feel like you did not care about their accomplishment. That is a sad thing. We are sorry you feel that about the jersy but how did your child feel???

I am sorry to hear that the parents are acting like little league
parents again.  This is what caused Kids events to disappear from district for quite a few  years.   The Kids were great and had a lot of fun, but
the parents spoiled it for them.

It is usually the young people in the club that put the Kids event together.

Race weekend is hectic to start with, having to get everything together and working, then you have last minute disappointments, like course workers that have last minute problems and are not able to work their assigned positions.  Some years the weather tares the courses down
just as fast as you put it up.  But the clubs still try to make sure that there
is something for the kids.

I wish some of the people who do not belong to clubs would work a race sometime just to get a feel of the effort that it takes to present these events.   Just remember.  NO CLUBS, NO EVENTS.

Will step off the soapbox now.

typical soccer mom attitude, these are the type of poeple that on 911 said ( we deserved it. ) its sad, and its better that the little league mentality stay's out of our sport.

So far, this lady is the only complaint I've heard from our race weekend.  It sucks that one negative comment can stand out so much in a weekend that so many great things happend.

I'm over it.

Great job fellow 4 Aces.
