   Aces had a pretty big turn out!  1st loop was tough and could have been a few miles longer to weed out the out of shapers!!!  The 2nd loop or red loop was fast.

Did the red loop, pulled up to the line right side & waited for riders meeting.
After the meeting, figured I should warm up the Yammie - fired up first kick ..... bitchen ! 
First line takes off, get ready for my line to go. Banner drops, took like 20 kicks to light the fire ..... dammit 
Finally got going and had clean air and super fun ride

Even though I sat this one out, I had a great time piting for you guys.  Everyone looked whooped after the first black loop, they all rode through the pits shaking their heads in disbelief!!!  It's on next race for sure!  I'm looking forward to the moose run in any way I can help.  Talk to you guys soon!

I cant catch a freakin break!  this was my third flat in the short time ive been with the aces. I was so pumped to get a good jump on points too *sigh* ...

Anywho, aside from the flat, i still managed to have a great time. Aparently i didnt comply with new rule number 47- 8562.5 and dug my tire in at the start 

So i lined up at the start as to what i thought would be a good line... Was it a good line? HAHA. Nope! Ended up pretty far back and in serious dust. Not a good situation with such a jagged bomb run. Started makin up places keepin it pinned through the washes, but quickly noticed bike was starting to wash out from the back. At his point i knew exactly what it was and was about ready to launch the damn thing off the so-cal downhill  whatever, it was what it was and i just rode. First loop was pretty dang fun. With the added traction of a rear flat i was able to smoke the crowds up the uphills haha    Really enjoy the tough loops, cuz its about the only opportunity to pass handfuls of riders. I feel like a broken record, but theres always a next time!

Dont think the bike will be ready for the enduro, but i will make sure to take revenge at DMC. See ya guys then!

If anything this raced exposed how out of shape I am... super sore the next day, but a good sore

So after practicing the bomb I decided to line up far right even though it didn't lead directly into the course it did have the least of all the g-outs in the bomb.  For the first time ever I got a great start - one kick, already in second, and I dumped the clutch, I felt like RV2 at A1 lol!  I actuall lead the bomb for a bit and when we came to the ribboned course, I was top five!  So nice to have clear sailing for the entire bomb (i will post the footage for proof).  Then, I  proceeded to get passed by a bunch of peeps and stalled it picking a crappy line out of the dust but I would soon have my revenge...

At the 1st bottleneck I tried to be polite but then just said F-it and monster-trucked any way I could and made up tons of spots (and that is what I did at every other conga-line/bottleneck).  I can't believe we came down the hill we scouted out on New Years Eve, that was gnar - and - I actually passed 4-5 dudes there too!  Got my second wind a couple miles before the pits and luckily made it into the pits within the time limit... apparently lots of those who were stuck got cut off from the second loop.

Second loop was great, nice and fast.  Obviously the Red & Yellow Bars had already checked out so I had clear sailing there.  Bike was running so good, and suspension was working fantastic!  I had her screaming in the long sand wash, looked for another gear but was tapped out!  Chased down two more dudes on loop 2 and brought her in, in one peice.

All in all, I feel like I did really well against my respective field, but we will see when results are posted.  So glad I am racing Vet this year, either way had a blast, have been hitting the gym and the road bike every day since, lol.

Thanks to Eddie and John for wanting to stick around untill I was all loaded up and ready to go but, I just wanted to chill and soak it all in.  Thanks to Eddie and Mike for the gas-and-go.  Scott: keep your chin up dude; you're just workin all the kinks out! See you all at DMC with the family!!!
