Im sick too. What is with this bug? I thought i was over it and it started kickin my ass this morning again. And to add to it, the damage I did when I jammed my knee at the GP now makes my whole leg numb when i sit down or when i fully extend my leg...

Unless my leg gets worse, I will be racing rovers.

it's serious, but I think I'll be ok.......it's the medication I'm taking that is killing me, the cure is worse than the disease.....$3,000 a month for meds, thank God for insurance

Was planning to race Sun but Wed afternoon on my weekly mountain bike ride with the guys I had a front blow out coming down this rocky, rutted downhill. The blowout sounded like a gun shot to the guys ahead of me and I got pitched over the bars down the hill. The results - 2 more broke ribs and a scrapped up knee. Was able to replace the tube and ride back out to Cooks Corner where several brews were administered to ease the pain. I may still come out Sun to work the pits but riding, much less racing seems out of the question at this point.

Grabow hung out and said he will be joining us at RHR/Vikings
thats all I saw

It was a fun course with a dumb bomb run. I went out saturday afternoon and basically signed up, ran the bomb, ate dinner, and went to bed so I didnt get much socializing done to get any "scoop".

When i finally got back to camp after my bike was broke, about 3 or 5 rigs were left and I didnt do much but pack and leave.

Thats my race report.

Steve got taken out on the bomb, broke his front caliper. He went on with a broken caliper and somewhere on the course it locked up on him and he went over the bars but kept racing and got a finish.

A couple of high points at Rovers  - Brett was 2nd into the pits behind Childress and finished 3rd O/A. Kevin Sweet was 3rd Ammie into the pits and finished 7th Ammie. The loop was very technical for a Desert Scrambles and many riders were stuck on the hills and going back down them to give it another try. After the race, John Gil told me that Paul Krause was exhausted - not from riding but pushing riders up the deep sand whooped hill directly before check 1. Rovers were everywhere - in the hills and in the rocks .... helping and hollering. Fun race.
