Motorcycles at Ventura next Saturday (October 4).  They are running a variety of classes: Flat Track, Speedway.  They aren't doing a motocross track, but they are having the stock motocross bike on flat track class.  I'm not interested in racing the flat track.  But I might go to spectate.

Anybody interested?

I might go if you are.  Keep me informed.

Mike, Jen & kids (there were a few of them and all like to ride  ;)) They were the first ones there. Mike's dad used to be a Four Ace a few years back. He named a few names but, the only one I knew is Susie. I can't remember Mike's last name (help someone). They want to become members again and will be at the Moose Run to help.

How long ago was his dad a member?  What is his dads name? I would remember most names going back through the mid nineties, I would guess.

We are one of the oldest chartered AMA clubs racing in the desert today.  We put on some of the highest quality events around.  A great group of people who get along well, and mostly have fun.

I think I counted about 460 for the start line this year.

I was able to connect, but there must be some issue, as there is no discussion about the Moose Run.

That comment may look a little odd without the original post, but Ed and I know it did not belong here.

I am only slightly disappointed, we seem to get more racers than the average desert race most years.  The DMC National had, I think about 550.  I thought we might get close to 600.  I have no idea what may have caused our lower number of entries.

Quote from: "kritter"I was thinking of the canyon with the whole line bottlenecked picture.

I think we are talking about the pile up under the holeshot banner.

Quote from: "Plumrdy"I went over Saturday morning. I got there around 930 Am. I hung out with a friend that was riding in the pit area and even got to walk the track. WOW from the stands it looked easier, When you were on the track everything was "bigger" and a lot harder.

I told my son that was the best trip to Vegas I have ever had. Only Casino time was walking to and from Lunch and Dinner

Jerry grabow

Same thing can be said for a Supercross track.  It amazed me how tall and far apart the whoops were in Houston four years ago. The first time I had walked a Supercross track.

Quote from: "GP Steward I"Howdy. Hey , If everyone is bored this weekend you can come out and tie ribbon; or even better, pound stakes.

No way, Dan, last time I helped put that race on, I was the last person back to camp, no one waited for us, except Barry.  HBMC should have enough people to pull it off alone.  What 2,500 members, and you can't get 20 people to show up for a work weekend?????  Have fun out there, Dan.

Four Aces will be there.  Not sure who we will be getting firewood from.
