General Discussion / work points?
May 26, 2006, 07:59:59 AM
Hello,
I'm a member of the Sage Riders M/C in Utah.  I'm curious as to how you handle work points in your area.
1.  Do you offer work points?
2.  If so, how do you calculate them?
3.  If so, how many years have you been using a wp system?
Any information that you can give would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Alan J. Peterson

General Discussion / Soooo...who went to the Endurocross?
November 22, 2005, 10:04:13 AM
Me, the wife, MikeW, his wife and a couple others went. Saw Jannette there....she appeared to have been drinking....or was that me? Charlie Lamson was there. Saw a number of Checkers, and some guys in Lipert shirts.
Race was better than expected. Couldn't believe the difficulty of it all. It looked like it wasn't too bad, but then you notice guys like Nathan Woods and Destry struggling and being lapped, you knew it was definetly harder than it looked.
I tried all night to get someone to bet me on the results. I was taking David Knight for the win, and gave whoever bet me everyone else. Wasn't until about 2 minutes before the main did someone take me up on it. Won me a nice $100.

October 25, 2005, 04:08:33 PM
Does anyone know where I might find some old photos of Earl Kurtz (circa 1950's) . I'm his son and he has since passed away, but I would love to get some of his old racing photos.  I have a few from when they raced over on Catalina Island.
Sincerely,

Time to start BSing about the Badgers Euros. I plan to hit the Best in the West event on Sunday. As usual, one day only for me. Simi Honda did me good - ordered parts on Tuesday and picked them up lunch time Wednsday and received a good discount. American Honda must really have their act together.

General Discussion / woman with video camcorder
February 15, 2005, 07:05:28 PM
Does anyone know who the woman with the camcorder was at the top of the last hill just before the finish during the moose run on the 13th? She said she was with the four aces, that was my first race and I looped out pretty spectacularly on that last hill, she told me to smile for the camara and I said only if I can get a copy of that crash footage, she said sure. I dont know if she thought I was serious or not, but man! what a memory that day was!!.....I REALLY WANT THAT FOOTAGE....willing to pay good $$ for it.......can anyone help me!!!?
                                            thank you

General Discussion / kids race at feb. 12
February 13, 2005, 07:14:58 PM
I was very disappointed with the kids race that was put on over the weekend. I realize that it is done for fun and it gives our children a way into the sport but I am very upset that the only "trophy" that they gave away was a jersey that my daughter couldn't even wear because it's too big. I know that it's not always about winning the trophy and they won't always win a trophy but when our little ones, some who were as young as 4 years old, wait all day to race and do their best only to be awarded with a jersey that no doubt a local motorcycle shop gave to your group, it was a very sad day to see our motokids treated like that. I won't be back to any of your races and after talking to some of the other parents after the race, i'm sure they won't either.
