Best part of the race was when Danny LaPorte and Paul Krause lapped me in the back ridge sections. Had a front row seat for a few moments of a fierce battle with Krause glued to LaPorte's rear tire. LaPorte was riding one of those new 450 Suzuki 4 strokes and went on to take the win.
I finished well in comparision to desert racers in my class but the GP/Moto guys were gone goodbye.

Rick, how were the ruts on the face of the jumps during your race. We were draging our footpegs thru them and some of the rutted turns in the moto section were huge. Hope they grade the track section before Sunday's races.

Sounds like you had preferred seating watching the big boys going at it!

The ruts were bad during my race like yours, I could have parked the bike in most of them and it would have stayed upright.

My race was really good - didn't crash (!) got 4 laps, and ending up 3rd in class. I feel pretty good about it considering this was my first race in 11 years !  :D

By Sunday for the Senior race 11 the ruts were huge and the braking bumps and acceleration bumps were the worse I've ever seen for Glen Helen. It was like riding over curbs the whole way. The pavement was nice and high speed and the final down hill was amazing at the bottom.
